Fashion Week and Kitchen Faucets?
Interior design follows fashion. You all know that. There's a little time-lapse, but it's very trackable if you think about it. Last year we saws plaids on the runway and this year plaids are splashed around interior design. So, I'll try to make this brief. Remember Brizo brand faucets from my post here. Well, Brizo is a progressive thinking brand. Cleverly, and strategically, they've partnerned with uber hip fashion designer Jason Wu. Jason's all about 'the silhouette and so is Brizo. I used to think Koehler was IT as far as bathroom faucets, but not anymore.
The fresh, sophisticated Brizo brand has become my new favorite (and that's my own opinion regardless of the fact that they're hosting an expense paid trip for me and a group of bloggers to attend Jason Wu's runway show and an after party at the Showtime Show House). Chiffon and rayon aside, my beady little eyes can't wait to take in the interior spaces we'll be seeing. First up, we're staying at a boutique hotel which, if you haven't stayed at one, are always smorgasbords of design inspiration.
Next, get a load of this space where Jazon Wu's show will be on Friday. It reminds me of Tom Hank's digs in Big. It's an event space for rent, and my urban dream home at 82 Mercer Street.
Quick clothes change and off to the cocktail party at The Showtime Show House in Gramercy Park.
The second annual multimedia showhouse includes three condos and is outfitted with Brizo products. The spaces were inspired by the original Showtime series: Nurse Jackie, Dexter, Weed, Californication, The Borgias and The Big C.
So y'all, even though fashion ain't my thang, fixtures, interiors, and furniture really are. Can't wait to see and post here on Curbly on location from NYC. (I never thought I'd be writing those words.)
